In the days of Healey and Thatcher, Reagan and even Tony Blair, "Spitting Image" was a weekly Political satire, and it's passing is still mourned.
Some of the humour is uniquely British, but much of it will cross the Pond in style.
It is thought that, following the cancellation of the Series, some politicians even bought the puppets made in their own images.

This show ran from 1984 to 1996 covering such events as the Reagan Presidency, various Royal Family events and Margret Thatcher's tenure in No. 10, Downing Street. It was around for the ascent of Tony Blair.
The show leaves an enduring legacy of British Political Satire at it's very finest.
