Well, it's on. The goofy progressive-hating Repugs out for blood who want to kill the Affordable Health Care tearing its guts out if it can or defund it, oh my, can they do that?
Yes, that what scares me. If they can't kill it, they will just not fund it. That will be very radical but it is what they are pushed to do by the Tea Baggers with Michelle Bachman leading them on to glory.
What can stop them?
Since Repugs and conservatives love consumers having "choices" in their delivery and funding of health care, how about consumers, meaning all of our 300 million Americans be given the choice of either paying for private health care with private insurers or allowing any person who wants to enroll in Medicare and have their payments deducted from their paychecks. The payment would be progressive in nature and the amount paid would be a percentage of their salary.
This way, it is up to the individual what they want to do. Medicare is thus strengthened by the influx of healthy individuals increasing the risk pool.
I think it would be the choice of more consumers than private health care insurance which is prohibitively expensive.
I am only suggesting this because I am worried that the Republicans will try and defund the existing bill. So there needs to be an alternative that is simple and easy to explain to the public. The bill as it stands now is very complicated with very shaky underpinnings. If part is defunded, it may fall like a "house of cards."
