Anyone remember this song?
It's been a long day. I've been reading too many blogs lately with liberals slagging other liberals while I'm looking for work. The news sites are full of stories about how the bad people of the world can't be blamed for nothing (yes, I have been reduced to employing double negatives). I'm bored out of my skull and even my cats are crabby today.
I sure could use a little good news today ... so I found some ...

I went and found some links that lifted my spirits a little bit and I hope they will do the same for you.

Woman hangs up on $10,000 call but they called back.

Sunday was National Pie Day

A woman can speak to her granddaughter again.

Funding found to reestablish bustards in the UK. (And no, that wasn't a misspelling.)

I am using "good news" as a tag and hope others will use it when they have a post when they think can uplift the spirits of others. I don't know if I am ambitious enough to make it a weekly event like the goggies diaries. Probably not, since I average about two diaries a year. But because making positive change in the world is a long and often thankless task I think we can all use a little happy news once in a while.
Have you heard any good news today?

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
