Yesterday, as the filibuster reform reached its climax, Senator Jeff Merkley mentioned the efforts of the over 45,000 Kossacks who took part in the campaign:
I will have a full review of what happened in the Senate rules reform campaign on Sunday. But for now, I’d just thank the over 45,000 of you who participated. Your voices were heard on the floor of the Senate, and we never would have come this far without you. We won maybe only 10% of the reforms we sought, but we did come close to a lot more. Also, this was a groundbreaking campaign that permanently changed the way blogs interact with powerbrokers on Capitol Hill.
