I ask this, as prior to yesterday, I had joined a couple of groups, and created a group, "The Message is the Message" a group focusing on turning the Rightwing anchors on their heads.
The group is gone. The message?
The Message is the Message. How do we use language? If you're the Right, you use it for "whispering" (fear) campaigns. Listen closely to the spoken words. Transcripts? They don't give you the emotion, the inflection that conveys more than just the initial meaning.
Case in Point: Mrs. Palin's use of an old hoary (whorey) phrase, that means "Lying about a specific religion and it's practices". After all went the thinking, if this group doesn't consume blood, what exactly do they do with it? This from a religious faction that symbolically drinks the "blood" of their god and consumes the "flesh" as well.
Mrs. Palin and, along with her, the Right, tried to reframe the meaning of the phrase to mean "Lying about conservatives".
Today, I went to see my groups, and, they're all gone.
Where did my group go? Do understand what that "message" means to me?
