A few weeks ago I found myself accidentally becoming an administrator for the Facebook group Defeat H.R. 3 (now including H.R. 217 and H.R. 358)
I found the group when there were only maybe 5 members and I posted a link in the discussion to dairies on Dailykos discussing H.R.3. You know H.R.3 as the bill that defines rape only as rape if it is "forcible." After the spotlight was shed on it and a particularly well done mocking on the Daily Show (Daily Show SKEWERS GOP for trying to redefine rape), we were told that the word "forcible was being removed.
It's still there, almost two weeks later.
In the discussion section of the page I posted links to 2 stories from Kossaks about this bill. I thought nothing more about it. Logged out, turned off the computer and went to bed.
When I woke up and logged on the next morning I found that I was now an administrator of the group.
Surprise!
Since then we have added administrators, expanded to include HR 217 and HR 358 (even though after you get 100 members of your group Facebook will no longer allow you to modify the groups name) and have become sort of a news aggregate for HR 3, HR 217, and HR 358.
H. R. 3 To prohibit taxpayer funded abortions and to provide for conscience protections, and for other purposes. ( Thomas )
H.R. 217 To amend title X of the Public Health Service Act to prohibit family planning grants from being awarded to any entity that performs abortions, and for other purposes. ( Thomas )
H.R. 358 Protect Life Act ( Thomas )
The other administrators and I I read, listen to, watch (get cross eyed) everything before posting. Sifting out and through, we also post something that may be a retread except for one different thought that we haven't seen any where else. We also post articles from both sides (the forced birthers and pro choice) because we feel that we must know how the other side thinks and how they are forming their arguments.
Below I've pulled some of the many articles and links we've posted on the group during the almost 3 weeks it's been there. I am not poisting the GOP, the forced birthers and the religious links (both for and against) news/article, links here. I will post those in another diary. In the days ahead I do plan to write a "real" diary on this topic, but for now "enjoy" as best you can. (more can be found on the group and I encourage you to access the info, even join)
I hope these links help or inspire a diary or two on this topic from you, explain what is going on, etc.. If you'd like to join the group instead of just following, please let me know.

"Today, I see that nothing about my religious anti-choice views did anything to prevent abortion. They did a lot to shame myself and my friends, but nothing to prevent abortion. Today, I hear anti-choicers talk about the babies and the unborn and the American genocide, but what I really hear beneath all that is slut-shaming and fear of female sexuality. I hear that language clearly because I spoke it once, myself. It is a familiar language to me."
