I have started a group called " Republicans are Wrong " to document cases where Republicans are factually wrong. Wrong facts lead to wrong policies. It doesn't matter if they are lying or just stupid; if a Republican is factually in error, it should be documented.
The upcoming special elections in CA-36 and NY-26 will provide an opportunity to use this group to elect Democrats. Specifically, once the Republican field is announced, a series of diaries showing how their candidate or candidates are disconnected from reality will help the Democratic candidate with opposition research. I would like to ask for help as these elections draw nearer. Doubtless the Republican candidates will have web sites, press conferences, and the like. Let's keep them honest (ha!).
The canonical form of a Republicans are Wrong diary is:
Title: [Name] is wrong about [Topic]
Link to supporting evidence that [Name] spouted nonsense regarding [Topic]
Blockquote
Link to supporting evidence that the facts are different than what [Name] said
Blockquote
