Am I to believe the GOP, tea baggers and Media who are against the good Americans standing up for their rights in Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio and hopefully soon to be protesters in the rest of USA, think all the protesters are all Democrats?
No little guy, blue collar, middle-class American Republican union members anywhere?
Have the American Republicans been so right-washed and influenced by the Rich Right injustice-only, corporate talking-heads that they cut their nose off to spite their own face when it comes to worker rights? Do they not understand that the protesters are fighting for the America and American dream we all knew and loved?
Bill Moyers: America Can't Deal With Reality -- We Must Be Exposed to the Truth, Even If It Hurts
George Orwell had warned six decades ago that the corrosion of language goes hand in hand with the corruption of democracy. If he were around today, he would remind us that "like the rattling of a stick inside a swill bucket," this kind of propaganda engenders a "protective stupidity" almost impossible for facts to penetrate.
I have read and heard so many hateful, unAmerican, rightwing comments condemning the American workers protesting in Wisconsin and now Ohio and Indiana, that my heart and soul is bleeding more than usual for the loss of the America I grew up in.
Corporate Media dumbed us down, Corporate Big Pharma has numbed us down, Religious factions have pitted your god against my god, and now Republicans condemn
their fellow Americans for acting like Americans.
I guess I'm left wondering (pardon the pun) what all the Republican teachers, policemen, firemen, state and federal workers in unions will do when THEY to lose everything, and they will too, if they don't wake up.
