I had to work but left to go to the rally in front of the Capitol. Didn't know how many would be there so parked a ways away on Summit avenue in front of the good old J.J Hill House--our own railroad baron. Four degrees and snowing and slip sliding away as I walked there about 11:40 and who cared about the cold? What I saw was as cheering as meeting Al Franken just sashaying down the street and asking him how it felt to be a World Historical figure now and him telling me he wasn't sure as he walked by, or standing on Highway 61 and remembering the song and then singing it as I walked along alive alive O!..... I'm from a town outside of Philadelphia and have been here since 87 and still can't get used to the winter but, again and again, I see...well..things like this and say "Man, I love Minnesota!" (In a Phiily accent!)
Look and see who these people are. God, I am happy they just ARE.
