As we watch the attempt by Koch-supported entities and individuals to further weaken the working men and women of this country, many of us are asking What can I do? I know that, for myself, I don't have any spare scratch right now, and I'm too busy as a single father supporting a large clan to be able to take direct action myself.
But I can do one thing: not buy products that come from Koch Industries. On that note, did you know that Koch Industries bought Georgia Pacific a couple of years ago? Me neither.
As a consumer, I can choose not to buy consumer products sold by GP. A list of consumer items below the fold, along with a suggestions for progressives in the building trades:
I must admit, I never noticed that Koch Industries bought Georgia Pacific a few years ago. December 2005, to be exact. Of course, back then, I'd never even heard of Koch Industries. It's only been in the last couple of years that they came onto my radar.

Are you a progressive who works in the building trades or a progressive individual who either does their own home improvements, or would hire a contractor to do so? If you're the one who makes the decision as to what product to buy, don't buy Georgia Pacific. If you're in a position to influence the decision (e.g. homeowner, or perhaps union worker), ask that another company's product be bought instead.
Go to the Georgia Pacific web-site, and look under Building Products to find the non "Georgia Pacific" brand names in that area.
To the extent that we can, we should avoid putting money in the pockets of those out to destroy our way of life. The Koch Brothers won't stop what they're doing; let's try not to pay for it ourselves.
