Pat Vaughn, general counsel for the American Family Association, spouts a lot of nonsense in this clip, but he rightly points out that DOMA's restriction of the Full Faith and Credit clause to heterosexual couples is indeed unconstitutional. (He also states that President Obama's recent opinion to that effect does not warrant impeachment.)
Aside from those two nuggets of sanity, the rest of the clip is all about defending President Palin from imaginary attacks based on Newt Gingrich's nonsensical hypothetical about Roe v. Wade. Given the American Family Association's intended audience, however, this is no surprise. The more interesting question is this: How will they react to Mr. Vaughn's legal opinion? (One has to wonder if this will end well for him.)
For the rest of us, though, it's both refreshing and mildly entertaining.
