Apparently, if you are muslim and live in Orange County and you attend a fundraiser to help homeless women in the UNITED STATES, you COUNTRY, by nature of being muslim, you are evil, and United States Marines would be happy to "welcome you home to paradise."
So says Villa Park Councilwoman (an ELECTED OFFICIAL) Deborah Pauly.
Fighting poverty in America makes you a terrorist.
Congressman Ed Royce, gotta love him, Multiculturalism is also evil.
And if Fullerton is your home, and you are in Fullerton at the time - why are people yelling at you to go home?
The take away is: You are only American if you are white and a teabagger.
So...there is that.
You all may have seen this video and wrote about it weeks ago. For me, what I think is interesting and compelling, is that it is something that is now going around other social networking sites. I have seen it posted, in horror on Tumblr, with some very passionate comments about how it makes people's stomach's turn, how this is not the America we know, how this is not who we are, and how there is a tremendous amount of fear that this is what we have become - and this is the salacious voice that the media wants to put forward as the majority, because it makes good television.
People are frustrated. People are appalled. People have had enough. People are smart enough to see that extremists of the Teabag party pose a threat to our liberty, our freedom.
People just need a way, a microphone, a voice to stand up and say no.
So, Democrats and Progressives, I say to you, to myself, will we provide that voice of strength? Of unity? Of sanity?
Or will we sink deeper into this dark period?
If left unchecked, this terrible movement of loud hateful people will not become synonymous with the Nazism, it will overtake it as the benchmark horror of humanity.
