My clever sister, loving cats, designed the Pootie Pad, a mini quilted blankie for cats that is liberally laced with catnip. Liberally, I tell you!
We made a bunch of them for people who kindly ordered them before my surgery.
And then we shipped them out on Monday.
The chalk lines wouldn’t quite come out of one of them – so we kept it as a house Pootie Pad.
Everybody loves it. Boots curled right up in it.
It tastes good to Betty.
And Goldie finds that it promotes restful napping.
As I write this, Boots and Goldie are jockeying for possession of the Pootie Pad.
I’ve had a few reports about the Pootie Pads by email. Ekaterin wrote:

The PP arrived today in the mail and before I could open the envelope, Linus got a head start. He is one of Tommie's babies and always a shy gentleman. The PP has opened new doors for him...

Ha! The box arrived in today's mail. I rushed home, opened it. Oooooo, that purple one is stunning, but then, purple has always been my favorite color. Everyone, included animals, look so good in it and on it. I put that one on a chair Sherman sometimes like to sleep on. He went right to it, and lay there in his regal meatloaf pose. Mine! Dini emerged a couple hours later from her safe area under the bed covers, and without even greeting me went right over to that chair and started sniffing and sniffing and then licking and licking. She might end up licking a hole in it. She does like to lick things containing catnip.
We have some more Pootie Pads that are almost done – and will be glad to make more. They are $25 each which includes Priority Mail shipping. Here is a PayPal link– or email me if you prefer to send a check. The purchase of Pootie Pads helps support our household and hence the Community Quilt Project -- and we appreciate it!
