I am getting fed up with the news coverage of what is going on here in Wisconsin...even the local media is dropping the ball...I swear, put five astro-turfed tea partiers on street corner eating puppies and they would report on the tea-partiers but leave out the puppy eating!
Well...as I do when I am pissed off, I fire an e-mail off half-cocked but fully loaded...jump below the fold for the e-mail I have sent to WISC-TV3.

Subject: Piss Poor Reporting
I just saw your story on the “Americans For Prosperity” bus tour. I am appalled by your poor reporting of this event. Andy Choi stated that Americans for prosperity is “a grassroots organization.” Any amount of research on your part would have told your news staff that Americans for Prosperity is nothing more that Koch brothers funded organization (Americans for Prosperity), there is nothing grass roots about it. The report also seemed to fall over itself to state that “200 people” attended the event that supported Governor Walker. There was no mention of how many people were there in opposition to the event. You failed to explain why the featured speaker could not attend the event, your report simply stated that he was unable to attend due to the protests. That leaves things a bit open, was he harassed? Was the street blocked by protesters? Or was he afraid to face people who disagreed with him?
Had you done a little bit more reporting, you would have found that up in Eau Claire...the Governor and his supporters had to sneak in the Hotel where the rally was because of the non-violent, peaceful protests there...if you would like to read about this...here is my blog.... Wisconsin - March 5th, 2011 Protests...In search of Palm Trees (Photo Diary)
How about a story on how the governor is avoiding listening to the people of Wisconsin! Maybe call out his cowardice? That would be real reporting!
The reporting your station as well as every other so called news media has been atrocious. You all seem to be falling over yourselves to not offend anyone on the right. Start reporting the truth!! For crying out loud, when my blog posts of photos and commentary about the protests are more newsworthy, more informed and more balanced than anything I have seen from Channel 3, Channel 15, Channel 27, Channel 47, and the Wisconsin State Journal there is something seriously wrong. The only two local media outlets that are actually doing their job are the Isthmus and The Capital Times.
Start actually reporting on the events that are happening...if you don’t, I promise you, you will lose a long time viewer. Oh, and this letter...has been posted to my blog...I want everyone to know how poor of a job the local media is doing.
Thank You,
Mark Andersen
