YEA! No more drills, hammers, chisels, ice picks, etc. drilling into the right side of my head!! And, I'm back like a bad penny!!! :D Man, Friday night was THE worst migraine I've ever had in my sordid migraine history. No idea where it came from, but I'm not in a hurry for a repeat performance, or I'll have to invent some sort of self - decapitation machine.
Let's remember some "this day in history" items. On this date in 1975, the Senate revised its "tarrantino" rule, allowing 60 senators to limit debate in most cases, instead of the previously required two-thirds of senators present. And, that's worked JUST GREAT!! *&^%$#@! Whatever happened to all that hullabaloo to "fix" the Senate at the end of last year?!
Stanley Kubrick died at age 70 on this date in 1999. What's my favorite Kubrick movie? This one HAS TO BE near the top.
Now, it's time to get SPARKy! ;D I wonder if people nearby wonder why there's lava in their living room? Props to George Carlin there, boys & girls. :D I'll let this classic clip from Clerks II speak for me regarding this story. :D
Since I don't have my jet pack yet, I guess I'll settle for this. ;D If I can't have the jet pack or the really fast car, I guess I'll take this house!
On with The Rachel Maddow Show!
"Let Them Eat Fake!" - Oh gee, did I REALLY need to see "that woman" tonight??!! EEEeeeeWWWWwwww! The Rachel Maddow new political theory stipulates that the longer an argument goes on & the more it looks like a dirty stinkin' librul might just win said argument, the calls of socialist pinko commie take an upswing. Lovely, AND in addition to "that woman," we get a revisit from (not) Joe the (not) Plumber!
So, he was in WI, huh? Haven't those people suffered enough?! We all know by now that the Kochtopus is rearing their ugly rear there.
AND, we get a visit from the WayBack Machine with Jack Abramhoff, too; it's the GOBP's greatest $hits! ;D Rachel is still insisting that Governor Walker & the "people" supporting him have lost; again, I hope she's correct. WI State Senator Jon Erpenbach is back again; I guess he hasn't been cuffed & stuffed by WI law enforcement, huh? ;D Governor Scotty said capitol clean - up was going to cost $7.5 million; try just over $350,000
"Just Because You're Paranoid Doesn't Mean They're Not Out to Get You" - Senator Nude Cosmo is on videotape begging half of the Kochtopus for some campaign coin. NICE!! ;D WI Dems have filed an ethics complaint against Governor Scotty for his little chat with the faux Koch brother. Uh, how can an ethics complaint be filed against someone WHO HAS NO ETHICS?! Just sayin'...
Actually, Governor Scotty was asking for campaign coin from his cage...er...uh...his office, which is sort of a no - no - not that he'll be punished for it. The Kochtopus apparently doesn't want a consumer finance safety database to be made public. Fine - let all their toys come from China & have lots of paint with lead covering the mothers. Eugene Robinson gets Kochtopus duty tonight - lucky guy! This monster is not only politically oogy, but they have THE coin, too.
I'd not only say we're paying more attention to the Kochtopus, but Citizens United has done WONDERS for them & "people" like them. Eugene said there are still rules post Citizens United?! I DON'T THINK SO!
"Which Way In?" - Ah, we get more "joy" from Libya. Hasn't Kodaffy gone all Hitler/Eva Braun yet? Look at that horrible horrible mess - and that's just physical damage! Talk about your crash course in weaponery?! France & Great Britain are readying a no - fly zone to present to the UN, but Russia has vowed a veto. OK, you Anglofiles, what does "going all pear shaped" mean? Is it anything like sparked up? And, if it is, why can't they just say SPARKED UP?! ;D I guess the Brits have stepped in it in Libya - brilliant! Some Dutch marines are being held hostage, too. Richard Engel is safe & "in da' house!" :D There's a bit of a delay in the sound & the picture, but he's safe, and that's all that matters.
So, what exactly did Great Britain do? I haz teh confused. Maybe, they should just stick to making Python stuff. There's an AQ presence in Libya? YEA! *&^%$#@!
"Tax Cuts for Dummies" - OOOOooo! A test! Get your pencils out, boys & girls; it's the Rick Scott Test. NO CHEATING! Put away your books, notebooks, cheat sheets, crib notes, and all other paraphenalia! ;D Money is being taken out of public schools, and that money is going to corporate tax breaks. Huh...sounds like something Mitchie would do!
"I Have to Put my Family First" - We get a history lesson/recap of Senator Diaper Boy Vitter. He's still in the Senate. Senator John Ensign? Well... ;D Is this song Senator Ensign's favorite?
He's worried about an ugly campaign & what it would do to his family - like you haven't done THAT enough to your family. How did his tongue not go screaming out of his mouth due to the toxic environment of his pie hole?! Newtie's chatting up family values, too, in Iowa. ;D
