Wisconsin Right to Life PAC Urges Preliminary Injunction in Federal Court of Law Funding State Supreme Court Races
Thursday, March 3, 2011
“The recent law passed in Wisconsin governing State Supreme Court races
contains provisions which impinge on the right to free speech under the First
Amendment,” stated Barbara Lyons, Executive Director of Wisconsin Right to
Life. “Yesterday, the Wisconsin Right to Life PAC asked Judge Conley in the
Western District Federal Court to issue a preliminary injunction against the law prior to the April 5 general election.”
Wisconsin Right to Life PAC and several other entities are asking the court to
strike down provisions of the law which (1) instruct the state to award significant exceeds a certain amount, (2) reporting requirements, and (3) campaign contribution limits.
“This is an important case to further efforts by Wisconsin Right to Life and its
various entities to ensure that groups and individuals do not have their speech rights denied,” continued Lyons. "We look forward to a positive decision later this week or early next week."

James Bopp, Jr., Indiana, is at it again:
Ecstasy over the Green Bay Packer's Super Bowl victory, the outbreak of freedom in Egypt, and Governor Scott Walker's proposal to end collective bargaining rights of state employees all overwhelmed our other news. But last Tuesday, on February 8th, Wisconsin Right to Life, Milwaukee millionaire George Mitchell and Indiana-based national anti-reform lawyer and supreme guardian of the corrupt status quo in American politics -- James Bopp filed a temporary restraining order to stop Wisconsin's landmark Impartial Justice Law from being in effect during the current election for the Wisconsin Supreme Court seat currently held by the incumbent, Justice David Prosser.

Bopp has a long history of interfering in state judge elections, he was also a prime mover in the infamous Citizens United decision by the U.S. Supreme Court.
According to the information I have:
Wisconsin Right to Life, joined by the Wisconsin Center for Economic Prosperity and school choice activist George Mitchell, are seeking an injunction to halt the public financing process for this election. U.S. District Judge William Conley has set a hearing on the motion for March 2 in Madison.
I have not been able to find any info on the outcome, if any, of that hearing.
Help! Information please!
