Fukushima is officially releasing 60-75% of the radiation released by Chernobyl, as detected by worldwide monitoring stations.
And in case anyone was buying the terrible revisionist statements about damage from Chernobyl, here is a recent study showing Chernobyl-based radioactive iodine continuing to cause increased cancer rates.
To me, it has been NPR's coverage of this that seems most egregious. As far as I'm concerned, if that bright bastion of responsible coverage can participate so fully in this dumbing-down and washing clean the history of nuclear disasters, something is going very wrong.
I am upset, facts are increasingly on my side, and I intend to make a big stink about it!
I protest!
To NPR, and beyond! Let not denial have a moments rest to lay it's skeevy head on ill gotten airtime!
These plants have failed, they are a huge risk to human life, and dozens more like them continue the threat elsewhere and at home. So don't let anyone forget it!
