I'm a little perplexed about why Roger Ailes hasn't been indicted after Judith Regan exposed him in her memoirs as the conservative operative who urged her to lie to federal investigators about her relationship with the abomnable Bernard Kerik, who was being vetted for appointment as head of Homeland Security. She in fact did lie about it.
The story emerged and then disappeared. The last news update was about a month ago. Either that means federal prosecutors are reluctant to pursue the matter, or that the are pursuing it, and hence aren't talking about it. A nice ambiguity.
Anyway, here is my take on this odious affair involving some of the most disreputable people in the conservative movement.
