Some political stories are so sweet you almost can't make them up. Remember how the Donald was all over the place yapping about Obama's birth certificate? Well, well, well, now he's looking like Newt--trying to explain how his marriages saved America.
Apparently, Trump's certificate is nowhere close to being "official" which has caused his entire birther story-line to blow-up in his face. Check-out just a few excerpts from the chattering class who are all over this:
Politico:
Trump fails to produce birth certificate
Donald Trump made headlines earlier today when he provided what he said was a copy of his birth certificate -- but a quick check reveals it's actually not an official document.
The paper that Trump released says "Jamaica Hospital" on top and lists the date and time of what he says was his birth to "Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Trump." The piece of paper has a seal at the bottom.
...Officials said the city Health Department is the "sole issuing authority" of official birth certificates in New York, and that the document would clearly say so, and "city officials said it's not an official document."
It appears instead to be a hospital "certificate of birth," meaning the piece of paper the hospital gave to his family saying he was born. Such a document typically has the signature of the hospital administrator and the attending physician.

Business Insider:
The Birth Certificate Donald Trump Produced Is Not An Official Document
What goes around comes around.
After spending the last week casting doubt on the nature of Obama's birth certificate Donald Trump may have some birther issues of his own.
Turns out the birth certificate he 'released exclusively' to Newsmax earlier this week is not the actual thing. http://www.businessinsider.com/...
Gawker:
Donald Trump’s Birth Certificate Is Clearly a Fake
Pretend presidential candidate Donald Trump released his "birth certificate" to wingnut rag Newsmax today to prove that he's an American citizen, unlike Barack Obama. That was nice of him. But where's the real birth certificate? Because this... this thing, this piece of paper with bullshit scribbled all over it, is simply not a birth certificate. Just look at it. This is definitely not a legitimate birth certificate. If it were real, it would be real. Where's the birth certificate, Trump?

Okay, okay, yall excuse me as I try to contain my out of control laughter because this last quote from Politico just caps this whole thing off.
Politico:
Trump's mother, it should be noted, was born in Scotland, which is not part of the United States. His plane is registered in the Bahamas, also a foreign country. This fact pattern -- along with the wave of new questions surrounding what he claims is a birth certificate -- raises serious doubts about his eligibility to serve as President of the United States. http://www.politico.com/...
By the way, when Donald was challenged to speak again on this issue, his lawyers said "no comment."
The chief birther is finally silenced--fired in less than two weeks.
