We will never put Americans back to work when we must fly to India to apply for a job that's right in our own home town.

Newt Global, headquarted outside Dallas, Texas hosted a job fair in India on March 5th.
Digital-X, a federal contractor with headquarters in Sunnyvale, California and offices in North Carolina is hosting a 4 day job fair for their US job openings starting April 21st.

Congress should immediately require all companies to seek local talent first and be required to hire equally or better qualified US workers before conducting job fairs abroad, as the DOJ is recommending.

It will put Americans back to work and stop the outsourcing of our nation's future jobs.  Without adding to the deficit!

Send a message to the House today.  They are having a hearing on the H1-b corporate visa program tomorrow at 10am.

Think these are isolated cases?  Dan Rather covers the allegations leveled in a small-town lawsuit about big-time visa fraud by an overseas I.T. giant and loopholes in the visa system that labor advocates say allow companies to avoid hiring American workers.

I'm the "labor advocate" here in the video that was aired one week ago.

Tech firms have digitally remastered employment discrimination. So we are publishing these “Help Wanted – No Americans Need Apply Job Ads” and we need YOU to apply!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
