Could not go to sleep; because the lunacy of Tea Baggers' runs deep!
Racial slur pic by Tea Bagger defiant; who declacres -- she Ain't no Resigner!
Here in So CAL, on this weekend before Easter, we are finally happy the sun has broke warm and the beach is alive. I won another Poker Tournament last night and come home to post my goods news and BAM; another Tea Bagger goes NUTS - and slimes up my glory. So I head out to my local club and see what everyone is drinking about more - the fact that IRS D Day is put off until Monday - or the racial slurring of another GOP politically incorrect cumquat run amuck.
In Orange County CA, Tea Bagger Marilyn Davenport actually had the extreme bad taste and total lack of common sense to send out an email depicting President Obama as a ape.
As detailed in the Orange County Register ( here);
The email, sent Friday afternoon by party central committee member Marilyn Davenport, depicts a family portrait-style image of apes with Obama's face superimposed on one of them.
The photo is accompanied by text that reads,
"
Now you know why no birth certificate."
The Orange County Register reports further, that Davenport refuses to resign. It states that if she fails to do so, they will vote by the 73 members on the issues;
Scott Baugh, chairman of the Orange County Republican Party, has called on Davenport to resign and said the party's ethics panel will hold a hearing into the incident if she does not do so. The panel will make findings, and a majority vote of the entire 73-member committee can oust her.
Davenport says it is all much ado about nothing. Refusing to resign therefore. In the Orange County other paper (OC Weekly ( here)); it quotes Davenport saying the following -
"I simply found it amusing regarding the character of Obama and all the questions surrounding his origin of birth," Davenport wrote. "In no way did I even consider the fact he's half black when I sent out the email. In fact, the thought never entered my mind until one or two other people [Scott Baugh, Orange County GOP boss, and this writer] tried to make this about race. . . . I received plenty of emails about George Bush that I didn't particularly like yet there was no 'cry' in the media about them."
The OC Weekly also pointed out that Marilyn Davenport quibbles about the issue as she was defended by "Another GOP official, who also asked not to be identified, said that Davenport is
"a really, really sweet old lady so I am surprised to hear about this."
It was also noted by the story that bad faith by Orange County Repub's are systemic and incestuous as the report denotes previously;
ORIGINAL POST, APRIL 15, 5 P.M.: Orange County might be a beautiful oceanfront locale, but it's also home to Holocaust deniers, vicious anti-gay bigots and freakish big-haired televangelists.
Here, one of our Republican politicians welcomed the inauguration of the first African American U.S. president in early 2009 by sending out an email that depicted a watermelon field in front of the White House.
What say Ye fellow Kossars'; do we wait for Grand Ole Party and their highly educated sophisticats to utilize their G-d given (purportedly higher than average IQ) to hold panel discussions and obfuscate the issues of whether or not to force Davenport to resign (while the nefarious bastards do their snickering off camera)?
Or do we help the high and mighty bastards
and demand her head on a platter now?

We will have to see where this matter is now - that it is May!
