I swore I wouldn't blog until I got a job, but I have to get this off my chest.
But with all due respect to another kossack's opinion, I will simply not apologize for GLOATING over America's and PRESIDENT Barack Obama's victorious moment in history.
Today we witness a defining moment in American history. This moment belongs to President Barack Hussein Obama. That is his name. He is THE President and Commander in Chief of the USA. To the citizens of this country who refused to accept this before last night's events I have something to tell you. Your time is over, the days of fear mongering over "Democrats are weak on terror" are over. Your philosophy has failed. Your time has passed. This moment in American history belongs to President Barack Obama. From here on in, the future belongs to President Barack Obama.
That future, which often seems bleak, can have a ray of hope. The events of today, I pray, will restore some of that hope to America, against the promoters of "NO!" and those who would take us backwards, it is a huge relief to see something to cheer about, and as a lifelong New Yorker I am glad to have something to cheer for.
Out in the real world, on Main Street . . .
Rent is due. I have no way to pay. There is no food in the fridge. I've sent out thousands of resumes and gone on countless interviews, and all for nothing. I'm either under-qualified for good jobs or overqualified for shit jobs. Interviews for jobs are often, yet go nowhere. When last I wrote I told you of my father's death and how I would not fall to the same fate. Today I write to tell you of my own story, one that is shared by tens of millions of Americans like me. We are not Too Big To Fail. We are losing forever our chance at the American Dream. Today we celebrate a great day in American history, and I make no apologies for saying it. We have avenged the fallen heroes of our nation and brought justice to the architect of our terror. Today is a day to be proud for your countrymen. The men who completed the mission to kill Osama bin Laden should never have to buy a drink for themselves for the rest of their lives, hell, I'll buy one for them myself. But this too shall pass, and we will return to the immediate matters of our nation, the need for jobs, the need for a social safety net and income equality and civil equality and, all of which are under blatant attack by the same people who could not accomplish what President Obama has been accomplishing, and President Obama has accomplished much to HELP our nation in only 3 years of office, all while his petty and ideologically corrupted "Conservative" radical opponents have done nothing but stood in his way and attacked him at every turn. But this also shall pass.
The needs of today, beyond this moment of history for President Obama and American history, are pressing and many. On Main Street, we have no jobs and Republicans are destroying the only ones we have left by union busting and their insatiable drive to drown the middle class in a bathtub so they can hand our carcasses over to the feeding troth at Wall Street.
My troubles are many. I am struggling. My rent is past due, it is hard out there on Main Street when you are not "Too Big To Fail." I type this from a computer lab, my home computer is broken, which makes hunting for work that much more difficult. Since last I wrote I have filed a complaint with the Department of Labor over my last job stealing my overtime. In six to eight weeks the paperwork will come back and a case will be made against him. Who would ever guess that my Fox News watching boss would steal my overtime pay?I know, I know . . . .
Unemployment has been no help. Thanks, Radical "Conservatives" who oppose PRESIDENT Obama tooth and nail. I mean, it's not like I paid into the system and just want to get mine back or anything. Asshats.
Life is hard down here on Main Street, and the radical "Conservatives" who oppose this PRESIDENT are hell bent on making it harder. No job, despite all of my efforts. Living in fear of where your next dollar will come from, how much food you can afford, how to get your clothing washed, or transportation, and then I have to listen to these whiny ass Radical "Conservative" millionaires like Denny Rehberg and Ben Stein crying poverty while Republicans like House Weeper John Boehner says that if America loses jobs because of the Radical Right's unswerving devotion to tax cuts and spending cuts "So be it.", and Micheal Steele cries"after taxes, a million dollars is not a lot of money."
Indeed, the future is now fully in the hands of President Barack Obama. Where Conservatives have failed in keeping America safe, PRESIDENT Obama is winning. Conservatives are now wholly discredited on one of the major pillars of their belief system, that only Conservatives can defend America, a vision that casts Democrats as weak on terror, even "palling around with terrorists." Well guess what, Mr. Conservative thinker, that turned out to be a bunch of bullshit, didn't it? Because history will forever remember President Barack Hussein Obama as the man who finished the job, the man who finally succeeded where his predecessor failed.
The future is Obama's. PRESIDENT Obama still symbolizes a message that is positive, one where things are tough now but we can make it better. Politically, the area of the future is now wholly owned by the Democratic party. The past is where Republicans live because they are Conservative, their philosophy is to stand in the face of history and say "NO!", the fearmonger the future, progressive "Change" is a taboo. Conservatives live to return to the past, their philosophy seeks to return to a regulationless pre-Great Depression golden age where taxes don't exist and each man must fend for himself, Conservatives exist to take away what we have because "We are broke" or "We can't afford it.", nevermind that their failed attempt at governance under Bush Jr is the reason that we are "Broke". Again, Conservatives have utterly failed, and where they have failed PRESIDENT Barack Obama is succeeding. Jobs are slowly coming back, despite every Republican Governor and congresscritter's best effort to make sure "I hope he fails" comes true. And yet PRESIDENT Obama rises above the lunatic criticism and vitriol with a laugh and a smile. Today is a day history will remember President Barack Obama as a leader who finished the job and brought closure to his nation. Today is the day we as a nation see a leader in his true form, without banner's that announce "Mission Accomplished", in one speech near midnight on Sunday May 2nd 2011 President Barack Obama cemented for himself a great moment in American history. May the partisan extremists who make up his political opposition on the right, those who called him weak and socialist and the greatest threat to America, may they all taste crow in their mouths.
Let me tell you something, millions and millions of Americans like me share my fate. Hope? That is all we have left, because there aren't enough jobs and for tens of millions of American citizens it seems like no one is doing anything about it.
Banks are refusing to lend after we bailed them out, corporations refuse to hire in America as they stockpile their record profits, unemployment is still a total disaster but what do we hear about? Deficits. Deficits created by Bush and Republicans during an economic disaster that was created by Republican de-regulation. Here is a little reality check for the beltway villagers, Republicans should have ZERO credibility on the economy and handling our Republican created deficits. ZERO. NONE. The same now goes for being "Strong on Terror". PRESIDENT Obama finished the job they could not. So suck that.
Republicans SUCK at creating jobs. Awful. As bad as it gets. Even now, the only thing Republicans want to do about jobs is make the ones we have now worse. Taking rights away from workers? Check. Defending tax cuts for corporations that ship American jobs overseas? Check. Bust unions and make sure teachers, firefighters and other public employees have to work harder for the same money or less in the future? Check. Ideas on how to create new and better jobs here in America? Republicans don't have a fucking clue, and they don't care either.
So to those on the right who fought for only more tax bailouts for the rich and fought tooth and nail to protect the banks and health insurance industry from the horrors of people with pre-existing conditions who demanded the medical treatment that they had paid for, for those who accused PRESIDENT Barack Obama of trying to kill granny and end medicare and then offered a budget under Paul Ryan that would end Medicare, to those who attack this PRESIDENT unmercifully and they cry "PARTISANSHIP!" when he turns the tables on them, to those who PRESIDENT Barack Obama openly mocked to their faces at the recent White House Correspondents' Association Dinner, I will gloat and do so LOUDLY, because at every turn, on fixing the economic wreck left him by Republicans, on bringing back jobs lost under Republicans, and on finishing the job that his Republican predecessor Bush Jr could not, I will gloat, hard and loud, and I will remind every radical so called "Conservative" that I meet that PRESIDENT Obama is doing on every level what the Republican party has totally failed to do.
To those who said "I hope he fails" I will gloat until my dying breath
To those who FAILED where our President Barack Obama found victory, I will gloat with laughter on my lips.
And to those who question PRESIDENT Barack Obama's patriotism, to those who question Barack Obama's legitimacy as the PRESIDENT of the United States of America, to those who even question despite all proof of Barack Obama's citizenship as an American, I will not apologize for GLOATING LOUDLY until the end of my days.
I will not lie. I am asking for your help. I apologize for not writing more often, since last I blogged I have done nothing but try as hard as I can to get a good job. My efforts have not borne fruit. I now find myself due on my rent, which I can not pay, and facing homelessness in the near future. When last I wrote I offered to sell my book to those who wished to help, and I barely got by for a few weeks. Those who helped before will all received a copy of my new book as soon as I receive the edited copy back from a few kind volunteers who offered to edit my book for free, as I neither have the time or the monetary resources available to edit the book myself and look for work full time. Anyone who would like to help me edit the book will be kindly appreciated. I would rather things not be like this. I would much rather work full time at a decent wage and sell my book at my own leisure and not as a last resource to stay of the street, but so be it, sometimes life makes your choices for you. For me, the choice is made. Either I will pay my rent with the money I earn today by selling this book, or I will lose my apartment, and then, who knows. Somehow I will survive, but I would rather do more than just survive, I want more, I want HOPE, HOPE that tomorrow won't be the disturbing vision I see on the right wing of American politics, hope that the future will be better, not harder. For me, the future will remain hard in the short term, but in the long run, I think and hope that things will work out alright. I hope you can help me realize that reality. In return, I have a hell of a story to tell you.

So on this day I take great pride in being an American. On this day, I have great pride in our PRESIDENT, Barack Hussein Obama. There is still much work to be done if we are to recover from the series of disasters left behind by George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and the Republican Party, but on this day I can gloat, and tomorrow I will gloat, and until my dying day I will gloat as a New Yorker and as an American that PRESIDENT Barack Hussein Obama finally got the fucking job done after Republicans FAILED.
I thank you for allowing me to rant a bit and get this weight off of my shoulders. I apologize for not writing more often, but as I have said, times are hard for me and millions of other American's like myself. Thank you for being there for me, this community is a lifeline I don't think I could do without. Today I feel pride, I have new hope for the future. And I will not apologize for gloating about it.
