( A guest diary by my daughter, "Annie West," who is 10.8.)
I'd like to share my top ten favorite books and/or series at the moment. Please tell me what you think and what's on your list.
1. Lord of the Rings Trilogy (Tolkien)
2. The Hunger Games Trilogy (Collins)
3. The Harry Potter Series (Rowling)
4. His Dark Materials Triology (Pullman)
5. The Giver Trilogy (Lowry)
5. Eona and Eon (Goodman)
6. Septimus Heap Series (Sage)
7. Artemis Fowl Series (Colfer)
8. The Hobbit (Tolkien)
9. Ender's Game (Card)
10. The Skinjackers Triology (Shusterman)
Why is Lord of the Rings No. 1?
Mostly because of Legolas. In my opinion, he's the most interesting character in Lord of the Rings. I'm thrilled that he will be in The Hobbit, and glad Orlando Bloom is going to play him. (I know Tolkien did not include him in the Hobbit, but that doesn't bother me.)
