I have often said that my life is a sitcom. Sometimes, it seems that our political discourse is one too. Reading about The Divine Ms Sarah's Family Vacation/Road Tour gave me a glorious idea for her new TV series. It's a natural. It can't miss!
In her new sitcom, Sarah plays the mom who quits her job as the governor of a large non-contiguous state to form a family rock'n'roll band. She and her musical family travel all over the country in their brightly-colored bus, bringing their music to the Real America of the Heartland.
But each week, they come to a town where those darn socialistic liberalcrats have thrown a monkey into the natural order of goodness and decency, and it's up to Mama Grizzly Sarah to set things right with her down home, common sense, good-ol'-fashioned, apple pie, my country 'tis of thee, God is my witness...
Um, where was I?
Oh yeah!
It's up to Sarah to put things right. And then at the end the band plays a song and the bus drives off into the fireworks-spangled night.
Of course, Liberal Hollywood being what it is, they couldn't do it live action. We'd need to have it animated by Hanna-Barbera. It'll be more realistic that way. Plus, that way we can include Twitchy, the family's snickering pet timberwolf.
Yes. I can see it all now.
