A mere 116 hours after this diary publishes, Mr. Brillig's sister J will have walked down the aisle and should... unless the service is long or delayed... be married. My soon-to-be brother-in-law B is a great guy and we're all thrilled to be welcoming him to the family!
Lest I forget, however, a few words that enable you to contribute to Top Comments!
Here at Top Comments we round up some of the site's best, funniest, most mojo'd and most informative commentary. We depend on your help with talent spotting. If you see a comment by another Kossack that deserves wider recognition, please send it to topcomments at gmail by 9:30pm Eastern. Please please please include a few words about why you sent it in as well as your user name (even if you think we know it already :-)), so we can credit you with the find!
This isn't a diary on Marriage Equality - I live in Massachusetts and I want every @#$% state in the Union as well as the damned Federal Government to recognize that discrimination in the conferring of civil rights to a couple on the basis of the gender of Person A and Person B is reprehensible and indefensible.
It is a diary on love. On commitment. On declaring publicly that you intend to love, support, honor, care for and cherish your partner forever. But mostly, it's a diary where you, my dear Top Comments reader, get to share your wise words to J & B, and to ANY two persons embarking on the thrill ride of Love.
What words of wisdom do you impart to the happy couple? Perhaps it's something you were told when you were married, or a lesson learned the hard way. Maybe it's the slip from a long-ago fortune cookie that's been in your wallet ever since. Or maybe it's what you wish someone told... or will tell, you when that special someone enters your life.
My advice, for what it's worth after almost 19 years married (August 22, I do know my anniversary!! :-)) and 21 years together:
Don't go to sleep angry at each other. (Mr. Brillig is right now thinking of every time I woke him up at 2am to apologize...)
You can never say I Love You too often. Especially when leaving, and returning.
Mawwiage, is what brings us together...

What bwings us here tonight, of course, is Top Comments! Several readers sent in nominations, I hope that tomorrow YOU will, too!
From Seneca Doane:
In an open thread, skohayes offers a good approach to the question of apologizing the Breitbart. I think we can all rally around this one.
From trashablanca:
In today's brilliant Tuesday's Chile, JekyllnHyde provides a perfect cartoon tribute to the legendary Gil Scott-Heron.
From Julie Gulden:
Oh wow, princess pat commented on "why men are incapable of keeping the garage clean..." and so went the conversation ... then the coup de gras was navajo bee lining it to her garage...a must see. From J Town diary today.
From Yours Twuely, brillig:
Is Jon Stewart [ destroying FOX]? Sam Wise Gingy has other reasons why their demographic is slipping; the entire thread is worth a read.
I wish Positronicus' comment in Meteor Blades' What the Bush tax cuts hath wrought: $2.5 trillion in lost opportunities was just snark. But I somehow don't think it is...
Top Mojo, we're keeping the light on for your eventual return...
