I received this email from a friend showing animals rescued after a tornado. Don't know which tornado or where these pictures were taken but I want to thank the people that saved these animals. as well as all the people everywhere that did the same thing. I have made bold the commentary that came with the pictures and have added my own thoughts at the end.
The story begins with the rescuer's finding this poor little guy they named Ralphie. Someone had already taken him under their wing but they weren't equipped to adopt.
Ralphie, scared and starved, joined his rescuers...
I wouldn't think anything could live thru this.... but we were wrong.
This little lady also survived that wreckage.
Here she is just placed in the car - scared, but safe.
and then..they are no longer alone!
Instant friends, they comforted each other while in the car.
Add two more beagles found after that... the more, the merrier!
Oh boy, a new traveler to add to the mix...
(Note: the cat coming over the seat needing shelter....)
Now just how is this going to work? (remember they are all strange to one another )
It's going to work just fine, thank you very much!
Wow! The things we learn from our animal friends...
If only all of mankind could learn such valuable lessons as this.
Lessons of instant friendship.
Of peace and harmony by way of respect
for one another -- no matter one's color or creed.
These animals tell you... "It's just good to be alive and with others."
Yes, it surely is.
So....Live, love, laugh & SHARE !
"Life's a Gift...Unwrap It!"
The words of the author of this email are something to think about. I hate that wedge issues are designed to splinter "we the people" into smaller groups that make us forget our common humanity. While we dwell on issues that only pertain to individual issues, we lose sight of things that will benefit all of us and it hurts us collectively. By building a larger more inclusive coalition, we become stronger, as does our ability to change things becomes more certain. You are all my peeps, my brothers and sisters be you white, black, yellow, red, brown, gay, straight, old, young, male or female. I love you all for your diversity, for your ideas, for your opinions, for you just being you.
Sigh... I guess my old hippie is showing, that new pair of rose colored glasses put a new perspective on things, but imagine, imagine what would be possible if we could work together instead of tearing each other down, how glorious life would be - for us all.
