Yes, the have denied it, and it is all probably a huge coincidence. But in my mind, I would like to pretend that the SiriusXM radio hosts have exacted their revenge on Breitbart, after four years of patience and festering anger.
It all culminated in them leaking a photo [find your own link!] of Rep. Weiner's member, which Andrew Breitbart so courteously said he would not release. But it started in 2007:
WASHINGTON — XM Satellite Radio shock jocks Opie and Anthony apologized Friday for airing a homeless man's crude comments that he'd like to have sex with Condoleezza Rice, Laura Bush and Queen Elizabeth.
The remarks were made on their show Wednesday by a guest the duo call Homeless Charlie. As the name of each woman came up, the guest said he would like to have sex with her -- using language not fit for print.
...
The story made headlines when it was broken by the Breitbart.tv Web site.
The radio hosts were suspended by XM Radio (as it them was) for a month, and they were not happy about it.
In the meantime, Breitbart's star continued to rise, while Opie and Anthony were forced to play second fiddle to Howard Stern after the merger of XM and Sirius.
Now, we're back to 2011. The othernight, co-host Anthony Cumia has a night on the town with Ann Coulter and Andrew Breitbart. Cumia is a conservative, so this isn't a surprise in reality. But in conspiracy land, it's all part of a trap to get back at Breitbart.
The next morning, a comfortable Breitbart shows up at the studio, and feeling he's among friends, discretely ahem shows the not-to-be-released picture to his hosts. Then, something quite convolutedhappened, and the picture would up all over the web. Heh heh heh.
Breitbart's response:
Earlier today, a photograph resembling one that I had withheld from publication in the Weinergate saga was released without my knowledge or permission.

I regret that this occurred.
Ah, sweet revenge. If only in my imagination.
