"I believe it's good for the country." Wednesday, June 15, 2011 10:22pm EST.
If there is a litmus test for espousing responsible custodianship for the future, you just failed it, Ed Schultz.
No way, no how, not ever can you ever claim to be even loosely associated with the Progressive movement with an asinine position of not only supporting ethanol for energy subsidies to big Agra, but saying it is "good for the country"...?
You've just been outed as a sleeper cell, Ed.
I will never watch your show again, and will not purchase products or services that advertise on your show.
Eff you. Grow food, not gas.
Although I suppose you'd all rather be complaining about how much Anthony Wiener disappointed you today, instead of how destructive this is to not only America but the bad example it is setting for other countries.
UPDATE: upon review of previous diaries with the "Ethanol" tag, I see that there seems to be a general lack of understanding of the subject matter by many. It is my mistake that I would be in the majority in castigating the ethanol subsidies without providing a more detailed background. The burden is mine alone, and I will rectify this with a background diary of ethanol (corn based), subsidies, and the environmental and economic impact they have on a global scale.
