These people should be ashamed of themselves, they really should. I get how media works, it get how it's about getting butts glued to the couch eyeballs peeled in rapt anticipation of the amazing tableau that is enfolding on screen -but Really? - Seriously?!.
Amazing isn't it?
This country is at 9.1% Unemployment. We've been recovering, but this most recent month there seems to have been a job growth setback that might - just might - mean the beginning of a double-dip recession. The Republicans are absolutely Hammering Obama on this issue. They spent practically the entire CNN Debate Combined Press Event bashing Obama for being weak on jobs.
Mitt Romney did this despite the fact that while he was Governor of MA, they ranked 47th in job growth. That's 47 out of 50!.
The message: Obama doesn't care about you; Romney does. And at the debate on Monday night, Romney proclaimed that Obama has "failed the American people on jobs creation."
In fact even before he was Governor Romney record could more accurately be termed the Destroyer of Jobs
From 1984 until 1999, Romney led Bain Capital, a Boston-based private equity group that earned jaw-dropping profits through leveraged buyouts, debt hedge funds, offshore tax havens and other financial strategies. In some cases, Romney's team closed U.S. factories, causing hundreds of layoffs, or pocketed huge fees shortly before companies collapsed.
Via CNN (but obviously not on days when Anthony Weiner has a Press Conference, or they're in the middle of a GOP "Debate")
Bain Capital specialized in buying companies in distress and revamping them, often by cutting jobs and closing plants. Some of Bain's purchases became more efficient and successful businesses, while others, loaded with debt from Bain's fees, were forced into bankruptcy, costing more jobs.
And you have John Boehner regularly and openly calling just about anything that Obama tries to do - "Job Killing".
“After yet another month of job losses, it’s clear that one question President Obama is sure to get on his ‘listening tour’ is: ‘where are the jobs?’
“Of course, while any decrease in the unemployment rate is encouraging, a ‘jobless recovery’ and double-digit unemployment is not what the American people were promised. More than three million Americans have lost their jobs since the President signed the trillion-dollar ‘stimulus’ that was supposed to keep unemployment below 8 percent and put people back to work ‘immediately.’
“Anyone who views today’s report as cause for celebration is out of touch with the American people, especially when the costly policies Washington Democrats are pursuing – whether it’s a government takeover of health care, a national energy tax, or ‘card check’ – are already costing jobs and will pile even more debt on our kids and grandkids.
So when the House Minority Leader goes into her regularly scheduled Press Conference - and instead of obsessing on yet more and more Weinerism - instead tries to talk about the Democrat Plan for Jobs...

Yeah, it's like that.
