Countdown with Keith Olbermann returns tonight at 8 PM ET with Markos on the broadcast
NYT previews:
Starting on Monday, there will be new competition for progressive attention spans on television.
Challenging MSNBC, which has a stable lineup of left-leaning hosts, will be Current TV, where Keith Olbermann will start anchoring the 8 p.m. hour, his former time slot on MSNBC. Rather audaciously, Mr. Olbermann will try to draw viewers away from MSNBC and to his new home, where he wants to add more hours of like-minded hosts.
The broadcast begins at 8 PM Eastern time, and our very own Markos Moulitsas will be on the inaugural broadcast. To find the correct channel number for your area, visit Current TV's website, and if your cable operator doesn't carry Current, ask them to start carrying it today.
10:56 AM PT: There's something funny with the Current TV channel finder. For example, it indicates the show isn't on either DirecTV or Comcast in my area, however neither is true. It's on DirecTV 358 and Comcast 125 (for Puget Sound Comcast). So if the channel finder says it's not on, don't trust it. Check with your local provider to make sure.
