On June 18 during Netroots Nation, a bunch of committed Kossaks and other caring members of the community got together to assemble care packages for our troops. We had a huge amount of volunteers (but sadly none of the Right Online people) and were able to pack 300 boxes in roughly 33 minutes, which is a new record.
This is my photo diary of the event.
H/T to Eclectablog for the fabulous photo diary from yesterday. Please go check it out.
Please keep TexasDem in your thoughts and prayers since he went to the hospital for kidney stones while in Minneapolis. He was brave enough to still work packing boxes on Saturday even though he was in a lot of pain.
Want to support NFTT next year? It's never to early to give generously to help for next year.
The packing area was a little more cramped than last year, but well organized Rep Grijalva with Simple packing the first NFTT box MN Congressman Tim Walz Bill in Portland Maine and Simple helping out Common Sense Mainer shows his love for the troops Transactivist Lt. Dan Choi pitches in and helps out Even the babies were pitching in! And we're done! There were a lot more helpers than this though... Taking out the trash...
