I said in an earlier diary that the things happening in Wisconsin just can't be made up...and I was right. Today, we had not one, but two violent acts take place in the Capitol.
Jump below the fold with me...
What many of you may not be aware of is that everyday a very dedicated group of individuals stand on the ground floor of the Capitol rotunda and perform a solidarity sing along. They have done this everyday since February...
A participant in the daily, non-violent Solidarity Sing Along at the state Capitol suffered a broken tooth when he was punched in the face by one of two men who were draping a "Don't Tread on Me" flag over the heads of singers, the leader of the sing-along said.
Classy...way to stay classy my conservative peeps. In then words of the late Billy Mays, "BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!"
(the) singers were shaken by what he called aggressive and provocative behavior by people who were at the Capitol on the day the Assembly passed a bill allowing the carrying of concealed weapons.
Among them, Reeder said, was former Republican state Sen. Dave Zien of Eau Claire, who was yelling and running over singers' belongings in the wheelchair he now uses following a motorcycle accident.
Protester punched in the face at daily Capitol singalong
Again, classy...and this guy was actually an elected official at one time.
Yesterday I wrote a diary in which I stated that violence should only be used as a last resort. It appears that the conservatives seem to think that childish acts of violence are the first option. They refuse to have an adult conversation with anyone...they are bullies. Pure and simple and I have four words for them....GROW THE FUCK UP!
