Another fine Sunday for a little film.
Drive in, hang the speaker on your window and sit back.
This episode isn't very political, except it a vaguely existential sense. It's the title cut of the new record, and it's not for the overly sunny. The title, "Nichevo," roughly translates to "Oh, well, there's nothing you can do about it." I've read one suggested translation of "You can't fight City Hall."
Borrowed clips include Edison's 1904 "How a French Nobleman Got a Wife through the New York Herald Personal Columns," the only known footage of the Titanic, and a United News newsreel of the May Day parade in Moscow, circa 1945.
Hat tips to Jean Cocteau, Chiuna Achebe and the 1939 RCA Indian Head test card.
Enjoy.
