Rick Perry, who has criticized a lack of Federal response to the drought and fires in Texas, and Rick Scott, who just this week declared a state of emergency in Florida, left their respective states without announcing where they were going to attend the Koch brothers sponsored retreat in Vail, Colorado.

In Perry's case,
he media had to resort to tracking the tail number of a private plane owned by one of Perry’s major campaign donors.
Because of course a big-shot governor can't fly commercial when showing up to get the approval of the Koch brothers for his presidential ambitions.
As for Scott,
...SNIP... Gov. Rick Scott (R) disappeared over the weekend, failing to disclose his whereabouts in his public schedule and refusing to respond to numerous press inquiries. Yesterday, Scott finally admitted he left the state without informing his constituents to attend the the Koch summit. Florida press spent most of the past few days trying to track down the rogue governor while more than 300 wildfires continue to burn in the state:
... SNIP ...
Am I the only one who sees heavy irony in Republican governors who deny climate change going to a Koch brothers summit while their states burn from climate-change induced droughts?
I thought not.
Does your governor have a Koch problem? The AFL-CIO has a helpful guide.
In a world where the MSM did their jobs, the two Ricks would now have a mild case of the Katrinas. If you can find that world, let me know how to get there.
