My goodness, he was a crazy baby. And student in school. And young man with a wife and babies.
His wife died in an accident, and he raised his sons, they are Army and they have rank, and he stopped being crazy, sort of.
He married again, had another baby, an impossibly cute sort of wife, and a beautiful baby, and cute wife got arrested, and here we go with Child Protectice Services and court, court, and more court.
We got that all taken care of, kids back home, all things just so good.
Wife's criminal charges were dismissed. Bubba and his family were happy.
I represented him and his wife.
I didn't know he coughed up blood for a year.
He had not told me.
He had no health insurance.
I will no doubt be the the attorney keeping the hospitals from suing his wife, or making a deal to give her and their kids at least a place to live.
Bubba was no saint, but had some joie de vivre about him that nobody will ever forget.
I think he would have gone to a doctor when he coughed up blood if he could have afforded it.
I expect to speak at his funeral Sunday, and I expect my speech to be about health care, and joie de vivre.
