I am 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% sure that Rachel's employer will show the typical long holiday weekend marathon of prison porn, so look for this diary again on Tuesday. ;D

Now, for some pre - long weekend holiday SPARK! Apparently, NJ is lousy with baboons; insert favorite Governator Chris Christie joke here! ;D George Carlin was way ahead of the game on this story.

YAHOO!! Another place or 2 for me to get my prized strawberry dacqeris!! Gawd bless America!!! Finally, I imagine a whole mess of the current GOBP would be all over joining this party {insert 70s porn music here}.

On with The Rachel Maddow Show!

"Welcome, McCotter" AKA "Not Really Much of a Stand Off" - Rep. Thaddeus McCotter is the newest passenger in the GOBP 2012 POTUS clown car.

The response so far has been "Who?!" The state of MN is closed for business, too. Rachel gave quite the list of what else is shut down in MN! DAMN!! What caused the shut down? Anti - abortion shtick, union busting, etc. Sound familiar?!

Both MN POTUS candidates gave a standing 'o' to their fair states being closed for business. What kind of sparked up "people" are they?! Don't answer that.

I think most people crowing for a shut down don't really truly realize what would be shut down; they haz teh fuzzy brain about 1994. This debt ceiling "debate" is a similar situation to what's going on in MN except writ large. Rachel's wondering about the "wisdom" about continuing these negotiations with "people" who aren't negotiating. Dan Rather's in studio to talk debt ceilings, shut downs, etc!

He brought up the 14th Amendment stuff, too. He also talked about the split in the GOBP about the "wisdom" of not raising the debt ceiling, allowing government shut downs, etc.

"Don't Follow the Money" - Mittens is in the proverbial cat bird seat as far as sufficient coin behind the effort in addition to being the "front runner" at this point. He raised $10 million in a day - or did some creative book keeping. Well, he didn't get to be super rich by NOT knowing how to creatively book keep. ;D Most GOBP 2012 candidates are not doing so hot coin - wise. Guess who's not crying a river over that news?! Stephen Colbert has his own SuperPAC! Oh my, the GOBP that still don't get he's making fun of them will be knocking at his door. ;D E.J. Dionne is the campaign finance guru tonight! More money is going to outside groups than to the candidates themselves. E.J.'s also simply thrilled about the Citizen's United effect on elections.

[Right now, my sanity (such as it is) cannot take more anti - abortion $hit, so I'm bailing on the "Really Really Really BIG Government" segment.]

"Debunktion Junction" - Mittens is flip - flopping again...for the 80 gazillionth time. Those 5 - toed shoes that Keith Olbermann broke his foot wearing & jogging have been banned by the Army! YIKES!!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
