In Today's Exciting Update:
Today we have a change that should make the place feel a little nicer to newly trusted users, which is the ability to hide hidden comments if you'd rather not see them.
A coastal waterfall near Caspar Cove, Mendocino County
- New Preference option: Now, in your user preferences, you will have the option to turn off hidden comments in line in diaries when you are a trusted user.
The three choices are on, off, and hide when I hide rate. On means show hidden comments always, off means hide them, and 'hide when I hide rate' means that they'll be hidden when you give them a troll rating.
The preference field will only be available if you are trusted, and the default is for them to be hidden. If you go directly to the hidden comments page, though, you'll see them, regardless of your preference. And, if you go directly to the link of a hidden comment, it will be displayed regardless of your preference.
- When you link to a comment directly, it will now default to expanded regardless of your preferences.
- Bug where the first tag could get a leading space as part of the tag value is fixed.
- Bug that was introduced with the last push that hid republish comments is fixed.
- Some minor updates to the masthead page.
As always, leave comments about any pressing issues below, and the team will find them.
