The dog we don't have ate the homework I didn't prepare, but our drought continues. Rain is showing up nearby, but hasn't quite gotten to us. Rains 100 miles west have helped enormously with the Los Alamos fire and we haven't smelled smoke all week. It did sort of rain for ten minutes this week here and the clouds are coming in, so we have a lot of hope.
The Pecos is still just at a trickle, not enough to get down the acequia. Daily temps in the 90s, and not cooling down as much at night. We broke down and got out our room fans for some relief.
Gardens flourish and the two peafowl chicks continue to grow under the watchful eye of momma peahen (Alice).
