Update: Rupert and James Murdoch's testimony has begun. It's the "most humble day" of Rupert's life.
7:05 AM PT: So far, Rupert Murdoch is unable to answer questions about what he knew and when he knew it, when or why people were paid off and can't explain why no one was fired when allegations of wrongdoing first surfaced.
7:08 AM PT: Asked if he entered the backdoor of #10 (Downing Street) at "the direct orders of the Prime Minister." Murdoch said he did it to avoid photographers—it was pointed out that heads of state always managed to use the front door.
7:10 AM PT: Asked if he has commissioned an investigation of allegations about hacking of 9/11 victims. Murdoch says he can't imagine that anything has happened in America (phone hacking). He also probably couldn't imagine his people hacked the voice mail of a murdered 13-year old girl.
7:14 AM PT: Murdoch says he not responsible for this scandal, that the people he trusted and people that they trusted probably are.
