Tea Party Congressman Joe Walsh (R-IL) has been having the vapors over President Obama. Like any good Teabagger, he thinks the government has been spendin' too much - and he repeats this over and over and over again, no matter what question is asked. Fair enough. Check out his rank hypocrisy below the orange squiggle.
Joe Walsh quotes:
July 6, 2011: "I am not going to place another dollar of debt on the backs of my kids and my grandkids unless this city structurally changes the way they spend money."
July 13,2011: "You've spent money like a drunken sailor for three years! And now you tell us it's time to get serious about spending?..unless you force politicians to balance their books every year, they won't." [editor's note: hysterical. You'll see]
July 25th, 2011: "Most of the Republican caucus does believe that we need to cut spending, pure and simple...Cut spending and reform the way Washington spends so we never get here again."
He's been all over the news, ugly and insulting, so I'm sure you've heard plenty o' his bullshit lately.
It's only fair to ask if this particular politician has 'balanced his books' every year and surprise, surprise!
It’s a bit of a dubious distinction, but freshman congressman Joe Walsh (R-Ill) says he’s proud to be the poorest member of the new crop of lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
His net worth, as calculated by the Center for Responsive Politics in a new study out Wednesday: negative $317,498.
“It’s sort of a badge of honor,” said Walsh, a Tea Party favorite who lost his own condo to foreclosure in 2009 and who has vowed to save money by sleeping in his office while he’s in Washington.
And this is the Tea Party point person who has been on every news show in the last week screaming about spending and responsibility. This is the economic guru of the freshmen Republicans. This is a guy who is about to drive the country over a cliff...over spending.
(By the way, as a taxpayer I'd love to send him a bill for his free rent)
