Testing a few things out to see what formatting and embeddy goodness works and what doesn't on DK4. Posting this at 2AM so it doesn't interrupt anybody's flame war. Use this as an open thread, I guess. None of the "forecasts" listed in this diary have any truth to them...just like the real ones. Har har har!
Hypothetically, if I were to start posting weather forecast diaries a few months from now, what would you like to see in those hypothetical diaries? More pictures, less text? More text, less pictures? As for the hypothetical pictures...maps, graphs, slideshows, kittehs? As for the hypothetical text...technical, simplified, or both?
Hypothetically, of course.

Technical Stuff
The isentropic blah will cross over the Rio Blah over the next few days, and bring a ton of blah to the southern part of the states. Tropical Storm Blah made landfall on the Texas coast late this evening, bringing windy and blah conditions to the area. A heat wave continued to blah half the country, while the northwest was cool as usual. Jerks. A large blah pressure system will park itself over Blah, Kansas later this week and bring sunny, dry and hot weather to a large portion of the country. Meanwhile in the northeast, people will eat lobster and talk about blah and not really notice that it's raining or hot or whatever. Isolated-scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly over the blah, will diminish with cooling this evening. Saturday morning blah will be within a degree or two of this morning's blah. Models are in good blah in their weakening of the upper ridge over the region tonight through blah with a series of weak shortwave blahs moving into the area from the northwest during the day. As temperatures blah up...dew points blah out slightly but less mid level blah air should allow enough destabilization for scattered blah and blahstorms across upstate South Blah Saturday afternoon, especially over the blahblah regions. Freezing levels are quite blah and the storms will have ample blah to work with, so severe weather looks unlikely but the storms that do develop will contain very heavy blay and may pose a flooding problem for low-blah areas.
Simplified Stuff
It's fuckin' hot and it's gonna fuckin' rain.
