Please, please keep it up. Keep grousing and pontificating and puking all of your unfounded outrage and disgust.

Right now the dimwits of the Far Right are pleasantly surprised that the "Leftist Socialist Communists Fascist Baby Killers" they despise are up in arms over this deal. (say with Gomer Pyle-esqe accent)"Hell, if they hate it so much, it must be a pretty good deal. . ."

Pay no attention to the following:

From the Associate Press last night on Forbes:

(the Agreement) . . .cut more than $900 Billion over 10 years from the day-to-day operating budgets of the Cabinet agencies. Caps spending passed by Congress for agency budgets at $1.043 trillions in 2012, $7 billion below 2011 levels.

7 Billion dollars!! That's it??!!. All of this noise and nonsense over 7 Billion dollars?? Do the math. Divide $7 Billion into 1.2 Trillion (.007%) The only 'real' cut between now and the election.

And then there is this from The Guardian last night from Richard Adams' blog:

"Both the Democrat left and the Republican right are also feeling some pain at the deal, with more noise coming from the liberal. but, frankly the scope of the deal should probably concern the Tea Partyers more than the left, because there isn't much meaningful in this deal that I can see."

Then today, Barney Frank gets insightful. . .
Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., praised the military spending cuts outlined in the debt ceiling deal. “That I found attractive,” he said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, noting that the cuts would ramp up the pressure to withdraw American troops from Iraq and Afghanistan.

(sound of screeching tires) You mean, after 22 years of constant increases in the US Military Industrial Complex budget since the end of the Cold War, there is actually a mechanism to reduce the Pentagon AND The CIA/Black Ops AND Homeland Securities bloated payola bugets by $120 Billion a year??!! And the only way to make part of that happen is to withdraw from these nasty Bush era wars, and kill off dozens of useless Defense department projects and boondoggles?

GOOD LORD TELL NOT ONE TEA BAGGER OR RIGHT WING NUT CASE ABOUT THIS.
Just keep up the snarky 'Obama let me down' meme. At least until the deal passes the House and Senate.

One last quote:

"This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence -- economic, political, even spiritual -- is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the militaryindustrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist."

Yup. Dwight David Eisenhower. You think President Obama is a Republican? Well, here is as close as I can find. (First he completes Truman's goal of Universal Health Care, and now he is honoring Eisenhower's prescient warning)

But, you, you Darlings of the Left, just keep it up. Scream to your heart's content.
And pray the brain dead right proves again that they do not know how to add and subtract.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
