From Hardball, FDR in 1936 tore the Republicans apart from top to bottom:
The window of time is ticking away.
It is time for President Obama to become bold, fiery and remain on message.
Now is also time for some firings in the White House. That whole economic team has been WRONG on practically every turn and how they are still around is beyond belief. Any poll that puts a Democratic President at 26% approval rating for the economy, it is obvious that what is suppose to work is not working. Time to tell some folks that they need to spend more time with their families from that economic team.
It is also time for some firings of these so-called "advisers". Look at where the President is at? His poll numbers are abysmal, yet, these so-called "advisers" are advising this President over the cliff. Some of them, too, need to spend more time with their families.
Who is writing the President's speeches, statements? It is the same retread, repeat stuff that is turning the public off. In other words, "boring". He needs to become FRESH again and that starts with his delivery, which is in the writing. If he needs some new writers, then get them.
Finally, it is time to come to grips that the Republicans want only one thing, "YOU GONE". The myth of bipartisanship is that a myth that you are clinging to. Time to let it go. If there is any one situation which has made you look like a weak leader was what happened from the debt ceiling drama. You lost ground there and any time the Republican Speaker states that "...he got 98% of what he wanted" and we here crickets from you and your White House that speaks volumes.
Next year is winnable, but it starts with President Obama and he must change.
