We need as many jobs in the US as possible---even if they're just phone centers or technical support centers. So, every time I call somewhere, if the person sounds foreign, I ask to speak with someone in the US. Generally, I'm accommodated. I've been told there are a few companies who only have outsourced centers. But whenever possible, insist on speaking to someone in the US. These jobs don't pay well, but they're better than no job. It's a little thing we can do. Also, never use self-checkout at the market----same concept.
