I don't know if you've been paying attention to the latest cable/internet spat between Fox and Gawker but things are heating up--big time. You probably remember it was Gawker who demanded the release of Cris Cristie's contacts with Roger Ailes. Obviously that didn't sit well with Fox.
To make a long story short, Fox have been pounding Gawker ever since the Ailes story--especially last week. Now, Gawker is claiming Fox is conducting a pre-emptive strike because they have been working on a story about a Fox "personality" that they plan to reveal next week. According to Gawker:
"I have for several weeks been working on a story about a Fox News personality that Fox News really does not want published! Fox knows what the story is, because I've asked its PR department for comment (they refused). Tune in next week to see what the story is. And if past is prologue, get ready to see Gawker on Fox News a lot."
Politico is up with the same story in which they entitled:
"Gawker: Fox News fears upcoming story"
So apparently they contacted their buddy Fox and got this:
"Fox News representatives did not immediately respond to POLITICO’s request for comment."
Okay, who dunnit?
Bill Oreilly?
Sean Hannity?
Steve Doocy?
Get your popcorn, this might be delicious!!!
