Everywhere you look there are commentators or so-called experts who make predictions of what the public is thinking, where the economy is going, what the weather is going to do, how another nation is going to act in the future or react to our action(s), what unemployment is going to be, where the stock market is going, where a particular stock is going, etc.
So how is a person to know what credibility to assign to their statements? Wouldn't it be wonderful if there were a database that kept track of how well these people have done in the past?
In addition to arming viewers with background information, this would inhibit statements from those who are more flamboyant than substantive, because they would always be confronted with a published failure notice.
Well this is all science-fiction but I thought I'd write it down. It would take a lot of time and money and would be hard to build a business plan for. (I know I am not supposed to end a sentence with a preposition but I felt like being sloppy.)
