I joining the BK boycott. I posted this as a comment, but am publishing it as a diary. What I wrote is below.
I've been critical of this administration, but I'm not a critic. I want the best for this President, this country, and its people. People treat meta like it's a distraction, but it's where the rubber meets the road. How we treat each other here, how comfortable we feel in speaking our minds, speaking to our experience, and whether we deal with each other in good faith, says all that needs to be said about our politics, action notwithstanding. The idea that the meta war problem has been solved (now onto the substantive diaries!), never mind the bleach fumes, is troubling to say the least. The impact that it had on the AA members should have been an obvious sign that the 11th hour moderation should have been handled more conscientiously, no matter how much the host would rather be doing something else. After all, it was all a symptom of lax moderation and the wars had clearly already been taxing on the AA members before the purge.
So I'll see you in a week and hope against hope to see some great posters, now banned, reinstated.
