The United States has lived under the Bush Tax Cuts since 2001. 10 years later, the Poverty Rate has reached its highest level since it started being recorded in 1959
But an increase in the number of Americans living in Poverty is not all now we can to the "LOSS" of quality of living in the USA due to the Bush Tax Cuts:
- Your Bush Tax Cuts At Work = Crumbling/Closed Interstate Bridges
- Your Bush Tax Cuts At Work = Crumbling Interstate Roads
- Your Bush Tax Cuts At Work = Closed Police and Fire Departments
- Your Bush Tax Cuts At Work = Hospitals Shutting Down
- Your Bush Tax Cuts At Work = Air Pollution Rising
- Your Bush Tax Cuts At Work = Schools Shutting Down
- Your Bush Tax Cuts At Work = Uninsured in USA INCREASES
- Your Bush Tax Cuts At Work = Unemployment INCREASE
- Your Bush Tax Cuts At Work = Income Gap Between Rich and Poor Increases
- Your Bush Tax Cuts At Work = Stagnant US Economic Growth
Could these be Bumper Sticker ideas for the 2012 Election.
The Green Verticle Line in the Graph Shows that in 1990 - the USA was in a Recession and the Poverty Rate increased.
- The Blue Dot Shows
Poverty Rate began to decrease in 1993, when President Bill Clinton raised the Federal Income Tax Rate to 39.6%.
- The Red Dot Shows
Poverty Rate began to increase in 2001, when W Bush Cut Taxes the first time.
When Reagan raised Taxes twice in 1982, during his Recession, the GOP did not complain. Overall, Reagan raised Taxes 11 times in 8 years.
Also, Note: When the GOP chant "Reagan lowered Taxes" they fail to mention that Reagan lowered taxes 70% to 50%
The US has lost a sh*t load of money - Billions and Trillions lost, gone due to the economic drag from the Bush Tax Cuts. At least President Obama wants to us US Tax Dollars on the United States
Look, Even Dick Cheney admitted Bush Tax Cuts drained the US Economy during a Sept 2003 interview with Tim Russert on Meet the Press
Transcript of that interview shows Dick Cheney admitted that between January 2001 through September 2003:
- Dow Jones down 11%.
- Unemployment rate up 49%.
- $281 Billion Surplus now a $500 Billion Deficit.
- Jobs, Net LOSS of 2.6 Million JOBS"
- Tax Cuts account for 25% of the Deficit
RUSSERT: "Since Inauguration Day [1/2001] as compared to now we have:
* Dow Jones down 11%.
* Unemployment rate up 49%.
* $281 billion surplus now a $500 billion deficit.
* Jobs, Net LOSS of 2.6 Million JOBS"
CHENEY "...The president’s policies in terms of the tax-cut package does offer very bright prospects for the future."
RUSSERT: "If you froze the Tax Cut for the Top 1% of Americans, it would generate enough money to pay $87 Billion for the war, if you did it for just ONE year."
CHAINE: "I think it’d be a mistake"
RUSSERT: "The president [W Bush] said in 2002 the Tax Cut would generate 800,000 jobs; then in 2003, he [W Bush] said there would be another million jobs. But NONE of that has happened. What has happened is the Deficit is Skyrocketing, over $500 Billion Dollars."
CHENEY: "The fact of the matter is, we’ve always made exceptions regarding the Deficit for Recession, National Emergency, time of War."
RUSSERT: "And the Tax Cuts?"
CHENEY: "Tax Cuts account for 25% of the Deficit.
That Interview PROVED Three things:
1) W Tax Cuts Created Job LOSS
2) W Tax Cuts INCREASED the Deficit
3) GOP are NOT concerned with Deficits during "Recession, National Emergency, time of War."
Cheney said we do not try to reduce the deficit during: "Recession, National Emergency, time of War." So why is that all we hear from GOP right now since we're in a Recession and Two Wars & parts of the country suffer from National Emergency - Irene?
We know the old, tired failed GOP Policy and chant that Tax Cuts create jobs is admittedly false and wrong according to Dick Cheney.
Naturally, there is the over $3 Trillion the US Taxpayer has spent on two wars. But there are other high ticket spending Bush "let" the Taxpayer pay for - some hidden from Congress and kept off of the Budget Books, some not.
In 2008 the Bush Administration spent $9 Trillion Dollars in 1 year (2008) in so-called "loans." In 2008, the Bush Administration intentionally, willfully and knowingly kept his 1 year $9Trillion Dollar loan hidden from Congress, hidden from “the People” and kept that $9 Trillion off of, and out of, the Budget Books
It took a Court Order in March 2011 to FORCE the Ledger reflecting that $9 Trillion Dollar Spending or "loan" to become public.
Bloomberg News had filed a FOIA to see the secret ledge but the
Federal Reserve itself had argued that the details of its emergency loans should be kept out of the public eye, claiming that the reputations of the firms involved could suffer if they were seen to be taking money from the government in order to stay afloat.
The Fed claims the loans have been paid back but there is no documentation that those loans have, in fact, been paid back.
Ah, but that's not all. There is another $18 Billion the US Taxpayer is on the hook for left over from 2004.
In 2004, President Bush Administration flew $20 Billion Dollars of shrink-wrapped cash into Iraq on pallets. As much as $18 Billion is missing.
"The Iraqi government argues that U.S. forces were supposed to safeguard the cash under a 2004 agreement, making Washington responsible for the money's disappearance."
Polico Reports "The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is refusing to tell U.S. government investigators how much money it sent to /raq during the first years of the American invasion as a top /raqi official suggested the missing and possibly stolen funds from that era is more than $18 Billion – nearly three times the previously reported figure."
The quality of life in the USA could get much worse if any one of the GOP Presidential Candidates win in 2012 election. Everyone of them are proposing to lower the Top1% Tax Rate to 25% or lower.
Fact is: The last time the USA had a 25% Tax Rate - the country spiraled into the Great Depression.
We all know the GOP absolutely refuse to raise taxes on the Top1% and they Blocked a Bill to end the $Billions in Taxpayer Cash/Subsidies
- Someone should educate the GOP that Taxpayer cash/subsidies to Big oil is not Free Market Policy.
We all know the GOP do not want to spend money on repairing entire cities that were damaged in Hurricane Irene unless we cut money from programs like WIC.
Last night, Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) who has over 182 failing Bridges in her single district is not supporting Obama's Job Bill because "you`re not going to
get jobs by passing stimulus bills.
Then she explains why the GOP do not have any Jobs Bills:
BLACKBURN: There are no bills that are going to do this [add jobs].
BLACKBURN: I support removing the 10% enhancement set-aside that was in the transportation bills and putting that toward roads and bridges and letting state governments make those decisions.
Blackburn's recipe to help US Economy Grow is:
BLACKBURN: Let`s talk about putting a moratorium on regulations for a year.
Let`s talk about getting the EPA off of individual`s private land. Let`s
talk about putting people in factories back to work by rolling back these
EPA regulations
Yeah, nothing like contaminated water and tainted food to boost an economy
Blackburn went on to say:
BLACKBURN: I am for reducing taxes.
Listen. You know, I am one of those that believe if 10
percent is good enough for God on Sunday, then it should be good enough for
the government on Monday.
Someone should tell her that God isn't getting her 10%. And someone should tell her that her "church" and minister she gives her 10% to on Sunday do not have a 307 Million person flock.
The false, un-cited alleged quote from Reagan found only in wiki claims "
If anyone wants to see what a country looks like whose Government does not provide: food, shelter and medicine to their poor and elderly - Just check out Yemen or Syria or any other 3rd World Country the USA send Billions of Tax Dollars to each year.
Anyone who wants to see what a country looks like whose government allows their infrastructure to crumble - Just check out Yemen, Syria or any other 3rd World Country.
Anyone who wants to see the disruption in the flow of Interstate Commerce due to its Government allowing their infrastructure to crumble - Just check out Yemen, Syria or any other 3rd World Country.
Anyone who wants to see what an uneducated society lives like - Just check out Yemen, Syria or any other 3rd World Country.
Face it, if a we end up with a GOP President the quality of life in the United States will be closer to 3rd World Country quality of life.
