First, I would like to welcome all of those who read ProgressMo Shuffle blogs and posts from Daily Kos and Blogger. Whether you are a progressive, democrat or republican we speak for an audience that needs to be protected in our present political condition. That audience is the American worker. Introduction aside, I would like to inform all of you of the latest endeavor of ProgressMo Shuffle.
I will be attending the Progressive Media Project Clinic hosted by the Progressive Magazine in Madison, Wisconsin on October 15th 2011. This will be a great chance to learn the tricks of trade in op-ed writing and learn from activists currently engaged in the struggle against the anti-worker agenda that is permeating many state houses in our nation. Taking part in this clinic will equip me with the tools I need to begin the path that I started in March. It will lead me to the city and state that reawakened my intellect during those dark months when a handful of Democratic state senators fled the state house to try to halt Gov. Walker and his anti union bills. I am excited to take part in this clinic, in the heart of American progressivism. The clinic is just part of the adventure.
This trip is more than the clinic. I will be driving from Lansdale to Madison, Wisconsin stopping along the way to experience the battleground states where labor is fighting these radical Governors. Along the way I will be stopping in Fremont, Ohio to visit the first ever Presidential library ever built-in this country; The Rutherford B Hayes Presidential Library. I am quite intrigued by the election of 1876, which compares to the conspiracies of the 2000 election. From Fremont, I will be driving to Madison for the clinic and a chance to take in the state house where the fight over workers rights occurred earlier this year. After the clinic I will be heading back to Lansdale stopping in Canton, Ohio. Canton, Ohio, home of the National Football Hall of Fame and The Presidential Library of William McKinley. From there I will come back home through southwestern Pennsylvania.
The trip will be long, yet great. I am really excited to experience traveling through Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin. I will be blogging and writing about the adventure that I will undertake. You can follow the trip on the ProgressMo Shuffle tweeter @progressmoshuff, on the www.progressmoshuffle.com and most likely it will produce a ProgressMo kos article. I leave Thursday October 13th at noon. Until then I will continue posting my commentary and articles on the politics and labor issues of the week. Remember the greatest threat to the GOP is the collective voice of the American people. Don’t let them keep the wool over the workers eyes.
