Then again, perhaps clear aims and a coherent vision for change aren’t really the point. As Ned Resnikoff explains, sometimes simply claiming a space can be revolutionary. The Occupy Wall Street movement is “something entirely different and much more important” than merely a protest, Resnikoff writes. It is a “public, counter-establishment communal space.”
I had to bring this to your attention as it could slip from view. It's a pretty good read.

And there was a hootenanny at Liberty Park. Peter, of Peter, Paul, and Mary, and his family dropped by and led the crowd in song. He also shared is feelings and some stories. OK, livestream had some problems, but hey, this is too classic. Gave me goosebumps and brought a few tears of joy to my aging eyes.
